You don’t have to be a Buddhist to benefit from the extraordinary wisdom, compassion, and skillful practices that this ancient tradition offers for the benefit of all humanity.  Clergy and lay people from all religious traditions incorporate into their spiritual practices the profound insights and practical skills for transforming the mind that Buddha left us.  I’ve taught priests, nuns, rabbis, and adherents of every religion, and they all found invaluable benefits from Buddha’s wisdom treasures.  The goal of Buddha’s teachings is to abide in a state of radical freedom and be fully empowered to help all others become completely free from suffering.  We are capable of living everyday knowing our innate nature free from the little self of the afflicted mind. The qualities of that state of freedom are pointed to by Buddha as the Four Immeasurables – Boundless Wisdom, Boundless Compassion, Boundless Joy, and Boundless Peace – unshakeable equanimity.  Knowing these is our birthright – we are endowed with the capacity to revel in this state by virtue of our human birth! Don’t squander your precious life! Fulfill your highest calling!

In this course we will delve into Buddha’s Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, Foundational Practices, the Four Immeasurables, the Five Remembrances, as well as other teachings from Tibetan Buddhism and Zen Buddhism. We will explore practical ways of integrating these into everyday life.  There will be ample time for discussions and questions.  The zoom videos will be available to course members for 3 months.  If you miss a session the video will be up the next day for you to review.

If the course is canceled for any reason your registration fee will be refunded in full.  If you need to cancel, a full refund will be given if you cancel by 11/21/26. If you cancel after that date you will be able to apply your registration fee to a future event with Lawrence Edwards and Anam Cara Meditation. No refunds will be given once the course has started.
